Birth: Jan. 7, 1836
Death: Jul. 2, 1911

Author. He was born and died in Valencia (Spain). He was one of the representatives (with Querol and Llombart) of the period known as Renaixença in valencian literature. He founded the newspaper "Las Provincias" and also participated with Constantí LLombart in the foundation of the cultural society Lo Rat Penat "societat d'amadors de les lletres valencianes." He is best known for his poem "La Barraca." Also he wrote "Delirios de Amor" and "Un Drama Napolitano." Cause of death: Heart Attack. (bio by: José L Bernabé Tronchoni)
