Mrs. Lottie A. Bedal, widow of the late Dr. M. D. Bedal, of this city, died at the home of her daughter, Nellie, Mrs. H. B. Walker, in Minneapolis, Minn., last Sunday afternoon at 4 o’clock, following a third paralytic stroke that seized her at the breakfast table that morning.
She had the first stroke last summer and had never fully recovered from it. The body was brought down here this morning and the funeral is to be held at the Baptist Church at 2.30 tomorrow, Thursday, afternoon.
Burial will be by the side of her late husband and son, Bert, in the Blair Cemetery.
Lottie A. Rivenburghi was born in Green Bush, New York, Feb. 15th, 1852, and was, therefore, past 68 years of age. She was married to Dr. M. D. Bedal in Chicago September 22nd 1873. They lived one year in Minnesota and one year in Tekamah before coming to Blair in 1877, where Dr. Bedal practiced his profession until his death February 16th, 1908.
Mrs. Bedal made her home here until about five years ago, when she went to make her home with her daughter in Minneapolis.
She united with the Baptist Church when but a young girl and was a faithful attendant when she was able to do so. She was also a member of the W. R. O. here as long as she made Blair her home.
Five children survive her, Mrs. H. E. Walker and Mrs. John Evans, of Minneapolis; Eugene, of Omaha; Sylvester, of St. Louis; Raymond, of New Haven, Conn. There are also four grandchildren. Mrs. Bedal will be kindly remembered by many Blair people. She was a kind and loving wife and mother, of a sunny social disposition and life was always worthwhile to her. The bereaved family have the sincere sympathy of many old friends.
