Charles E. Hemrich, 56, of Champaign, Illinois died Tuesday Aug. 2 at Cole Hospital, in Champaign, Illinois.

Services will be held in St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 905 South Russell, Champaign, Illinois with burial in Grandview Memorial Gardens at Champaign, Champaign County, Illinois.

He was born in Noble, Illinois Sept. 29, 1919, son of George and Grace Hasler Hemrich. In Jan., 1953, he married Dorothy A. Beck in Corinth, Miss.

He was in World War II, and was a Switchman for 29 years with the Illinois Central Railroad.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; three step-daughters, Mrs. Patricia J. Curtis of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, Mrs. Dorothy Marlene Huls of Gifford, Illinois and Mrs. Suzanne B. Sullivan of Washington, Indiana; nine step-grandchildren, Cheryl, Tom and Tim Curtis; Jeff, Becky, Vickie and Mike Huls; Sid and Scott Sullivan; a brother, John V.. Hemrich of Champaign, Illinois; and two step-brothers, Robert Van Cleave of Champaign, Illinois and James Van Cleave, of Urbana; and three sisters, Mrs. Thelma Pease and Mrs. Bettie Ayers, both of Champaign, Illinois, Mildred (Mickey) Isaacs of Fisher, Illinois and one-half sister, Mrs. Sandra Kay Miller of Irving, Texas.
