York, Opal - Services were held Monday at Murphy Mortuary in Lancaster for Opal York, 77, 327 1/2 Woodrow Avenue, who died Friday in her home. Interment followed in Joshua Memorial park in Lancaster. Mrs. York was born in Texas and had lived in Oildale 28 years. She lived in Rosamond from 1961 to 1965 where she was an active member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, George, Oildale; a daughter, Oleta Rice, Bakersfield; three sisters, Thelma Piloto of Long Beach, Vivian Combs of Newhall, and Edrie Landers of Long Beach; a brother, L.T. Ray of Reno and one grandchild.
