Mr. Herren died Tues., June 5, 1984, at Cookeville General Hospital, following an extended illness.
A native of Putnam County, he was the son of the late Thomas Logan and Harriett Thomas Herren. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mr. Herren was a retired farmer.
His family includes two daughters, Mrs Orna Henryof Cookeville and Mrs. Odell Clemons of Baxter; five sons, James, L, V,. and Arvel Herren all of Cookeville, Otis Herren of Ohio, and Charles Herren of Florida; one sister Mrs Eddie Randolph; one brother Simon Herren; one half sister, Mary Haney; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
