Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mallory Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro with burial at New Hope cemetery in Spiro.
He is survived by his wife, Lois; two sons, James Edward and Ronald Gene Baxter, both of Spiro; his mother, Jeanie Baxter of Spiro; a sister, Hazel Baxter of Spiro; a brother, H.C. Baxter of Spiro; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be J.L. Williams, H.B. Hayes, Matthew Owens, Jack Taylor, Lynn Elders and Kenneth Hargis.
