COLLEEN MARIE BEEMS died July 12, 2013 at Good Shepherd Hospice House, Manhattan, KS at the age of 83. She was born on July 24, 1929 in Clay Center, Kansas the daughter of Basil and Sophrona (Meek) Rankin.

Colleen graduated from CCCHS in 1947. She married Roger Beems on June 12, 1949. Colleen worked as a ward clerk at the Clay County Hospital for 25 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Roger preceded her in death on June 14, 1990. She is also preceded in death by a daughter Jill Dianne Beems, a brother, William Harvey Rankin and a sister, Terri Marlee Hamilton.

Survivors include:

Son: David and wife Debbie Beems, Concordia, KS

Son: Brad and wife Sharon Beems, Clay Center, KS

Son: B.J. and wife Tina Beems, Belaire , KS

6 Grandchildren & 6 Great-Grandchildren

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center, Kansas.

Officiating the service will be Rev. James Byers.

Burial will be at the Idana Cemetery, Idana, Kansas.

Visitation will be held on 3-8 PM Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made to First Presbyterian Church c/o the funeral home.
