THE WASHINGTON COUNTY LEADER, page 1, Thurs., Feb. 17, 1887. DEATHS.
On Tuesday evening, Feb. 15th. the Angel of Death visited the Academy of St. Catherine of Sienna, and bore away with him one of its best and most loved inmates, after an illness of only a few days, Miss Amy Adams, daughter of Mr. Richard Adams, of Lebanon, at the age of 17 years, gave back her pure soul into the hands of its Creator. The malady which, contrary to the expectation of all suddenly proved fatal, was congestion of the lungs. This estimable young lady had been a pupil of St. Catherine's for only a few months, but in that short period, she had by her many shining virtues and lovable qualities endeared herself to every inmate in the institution. Her untimely demise will be deeply regretted by a large circle of admiring friends. And among these few will be found whose grief will be more sincere and heartfelt than that of the sisters and pupils of St. Catharine of Sienna.
