Jefferson County, NE; m. 17 May 1899 to CHARLES HENRY ANNABLE, b. 27 Oct 1871 Chickasaw County, IA, d. 3 Dec 1929 at his home at 326 West 3rd Street, Fairbury. Both buried Fairbury Cemetery.

Elnora Adkins Annable was born Oct. 31, 1876 in Boone County, Ill., and died at a Fairbury hospital Oct. 23, 1963 at the age of 86 years, 11 months and 23 days.
She came with her parents at the age of eight years to farm near Fairbury, traveling by covered wagon. She lived in Jefferson County for the remainder of her life.
At the age of 22 years, she was married to Charles Annable at Fairbury. To this union were born two sons, William of Fairbury, Reuben Leroy, who died in infancy, and a daughter, Mrs. Dale Veatch of Fairbury.
Charles and Nora lived on a farm south of Fairbury until they moved to town in 1926. Her husband preceded her in death in 1929. Since the 1930s, she had made her home wiht her daughter in Fairbury.
She was baptized in the Baptist faith and was a member of the Dry Branch church.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Eva Harroun, Emma Harroun, and Amanda Ellis; brothers, Aaron, Elzie and Ellet.
Survivors include her daughter and son, sister, Mrs. Mary Field, Keddie, Calif.; brothers, Almond, Morrowville; Lee and Leonard, Wichita; and George, Lancaster, Calif.; grandchildren, Mrs. Shirley Murray, Mrs. R. Richard Gobel, Maurice Veatch; great-grandchildren, Steve, Lori and Scott Murray; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were Friday afternoon at the Nuckolls-Meyer chapel with Rev. Virgil Willits of the First Christian church officiating. Interment was in the Fairbury cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Poehlman, Eldon Rhoden, Cal Brown, Amos McDaniel, John Michels, and William Adkins.
