Delmar W. Lindsey "Chin " 73, of Bean Station passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 at University of Tennessee Hospital in Knoxville. Delmar was preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Belva Lindsey.


He was a member of First Corinthians Baptist Church in Russellville. Delmar loved the Lord and could be found on the front row every Sunday as long as his health allowed. His home was always open to anyone because he never met a stranger. Hebrews: 13:2 reads "Don't forget to show hospitality to strangers, for in doing so, some have entertained angels without knowing it." He genuinely loved everyone.


He is survived by his wife Janice; daughters, Tracy (Louis) Rodriguez of Bean Station; Selena (Dax) Anderson of Dandridge; seven grandchildren, Daniel (Jamie) Roach, Brittany (Victor) Cress, Matthew Roach, Samantha Anderson, D.J. Anderson, Sarah Rodriguez and Noah Rodriguez; special great-granddaughter, his special "Monkey" Marcee Roach; brother, Dale(Mary) Lindsey of Newport; two nieces, Debbie (Larry) Bowes and Sandy Lindsey; special niece, Sara Dowd and a multitude of extended family and friends.


The family will receive friends from 6 – 9:00 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013 in the East chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday July 7, 2013 at First Corinthians Baptist Church in Russellville with the Reverends Bill Russell and Aaron Alder officiating. The family will proceed to Bent Creek Cemetery in Russellville for graveside services.
