DEATH TAKES ANDEW BOHS

COUNTIAN 67 YEARS, HE DIED THURSDAY AT AGE OF 75; RITES MONDAY

Andrew Bohs, 75, native of Germany but a resident of Blair and Washington Count for 67 years, died Friday.

Son of Carl and Amelia Bohs, he was born at Neumunster, Germany May 4, 1873. When seven years old, he came to the United States with his parents, and they lived in Connecticut a year before coming to Washington County. He was a brother of Elizabeth Bohs, who preceded him in death and Max Beckman.

Funeral services for Mr. Bohs were held at the Campbell Mortuary Monday afternoon. The Rev. H. C. Jorgensen of First Lutheran Church officiated, and burial followed in the Blair Cemetery. Pallbearers were Otto Ruwe, George Nelson, Otto Matzen, Martin Paulsen, Robert Madsen and Otto Mencke.

Among those present from out of town for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Chris Neilsen, Roy, Leonard and Albert Neilsen, all of Marcus, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. John Johnson of Kennard, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Grothe and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford West, all of Herman.

Mr. Bohs was married to Sarah Helena Tranberg of Blair Mar. 7, 1901. To this union four sons, Carl, T.A. and Ernest Bohs, all of whom now reside in Blair, and an infant son who, with his mother, died in 1913. Mr. Bohs was married to Ettie Maude Hitchcock Dec. 15, 1915. Two daughters, Mrs. Leslie Johnson (Anna) and Mrs. Woodrow West (Helen) both of Blair, were born to this union.

Surviving Mr. Bohs are his wife, Maude; three sons and two daughters; his brother, Max Beckman; and nine grandchildren.
