Obituary for Margaretha Bergmann

Margaretha (Maggie) Bergman[n] was born September 23, 1887 at Washington, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Chris and Maria Seedorf Bergman[n]. She was baptized in the Christian Faith at the Blair Lutheran Church.

Maggie attended school in Washington and spent her entire life there until about 7 years ago when she moved to the Hospital Annex at Fremont, Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by four sisters: a twin, Anna, who died in infancy, Emma (Mrs. Chris Rathman), Mary (Mrs. Ellis Cunningham), twins Adella (Mrs. Ed Goedeker) and Pauline; one brother, Chris Bergman[n], Jr.

Maggie passed away at the Fremont Annex January 16 at the age of 87 years, 3 months, and 23 days. She leaves to mourn a brother- in-law, Ed Goedeker, cousin Amanda Paasch, nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Services were held at the Hardin Golden Mortuary in Bennington on Monday, 20. Ed Goedeker and daughter, Mrs. Marie Masterton from Los Angeles, California arrived here on Saturday to attend funeral services for their sister-in-law and aunt, Maggie Bergmann who passed away at the Hospital Annex in Fremont on Thursday night. Maggie was a former resident of Washington until 7 years ago when she went to live at the annex. (Blair Enterprise, 23 January 1975)
