Chris Bekke Rites, Sunday

Chris Bekke, well-known in Blair, died, Friday November 21, 1941 at the home of Mrs. Mary Ingerslev where he had resided for several months.

Deceased was born in Denmark on February 19, 1858. Had he lived until next February 19 he would have reached 84 years. He and his wife came to this county about 1900 and farmed in the vicinity of Orum. His wife died in 1936 and since that date he has gone on alone.

Chris Bekke’s life was one to be admired. He had a pleasing personality, was strictly honest and was respected for his Christian virtues. He had one son who died when sixteen years of age and was buried in the Orum cemetery.

Funeral services were held last Sunday at the Campbell Mortuary with Rev. H. C. Jorgensen officiating and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
