Danielsen, Asbjorn 86 Aug. 02, 1926 May 16, 2013 Asbjorn left us peacefully in the early morning hours of May 16, 2013. with his loving family by his side. Asbjorn, commonly referred to by family and friends as "Ozzie", was the youngest sibling of Alfred and Aslaug Danielsen of Dyroy, Norway. Ozzie immigrated to the U.S. in 1950. He resided in Milwaukie, with his wife, Marie, and their two daughters. Asbjorn was a 39 year employee and stock holder at Multnomah Plywood in St. Helens and a long-term member of the Grieg Lodge/Sons of Norway in Portland. After the loss of his wife in 1988 and through their affiliation with the Grieg Lodge, Asbjorn reconnected with Betty Moorman of Portland, where they both were blessed with another chance at love. They remained together until his passing. Asbjorn is survived by his brother, Helge Danielsen of Alta, Norway; his daughters, Gunn Pedersen and Anne-Lise Danielsen, both of Milwaukie; his life partner, Betty and her two daughters, Susan Sutherland of Battle Ground, Wash. and Sandra Delk of Portland; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Tootsie. A Celebration of Life will be held, Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, at the Norse Hall located at 111 NE 11th Ave., in Portland from 2-6 p.m. Donations to the Grieg Lodge Scholarship Fund or the Grieg Lodge Lift Fund can be made in Asbjorn's memory.
