Born and raised in Chicago, Dom Bernard Cullen OCSO., attended St. Gertrude's School and Quiqley Preparatory Seminary before joining the Trappist Monks in 1942 at 18 years of age. He made his solemn profession on March 19, 1947 and was ordained to the priesthood on September 5 of the following year. He passed away at at 12.45 am., on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, aged 90.
