Arthur L. Brabrook, a resident of Oak Park for forty-five years, died Wednesday, April 7, after a year's illness at his home, 331 South Lombard avenue. He was 71 years old. Mr. Brabrook was a native Chicagoan and was a wholesale drug salesman there for fifty years until his retirement last year.
He was graduated from the Oak Park high school in 1884 and while a student was captain of the school's baseball team. Mr. Brabrook was well-known in Chicago Baptist church circles. He was a member of the Second Baptist church of Chicago and was a trustee of the Northern Baptist Theological seminary in this city almost from its founding in 1913.
Surviving are his widow, May C. Brabrook, a son, A. Nelson of New York City and two daughters, Miss Helen Brabrook of Washington, D.C. and Mrs. Edith Minter of Maywood.
The Rev. R. G. Schall of the Second Baptist church of Chicago will conduct the services in the church this afternoon, Friday. Burial will be in Forest Home cemetery.
