Husband of Dorratha (Johnson) Faris. William Faris served 3 years as a soldier in the Revolutionary War. He was in Captain Bentley's Company of Colonel Marshall's Virginia Regiment. I'm pleased to have found this entry--I don't know why I never searched before today. William Faris is my great-great-great-great-great-great- grandfather on my dad's side. I am descended from his son John. He lost another son, David, at Yorktown.
