|Birth: ||May 10, 1810|
Lorenzo Dowl Kines Sr was born to William Kynes (Kines) and Elizabeth Whitten (Whitton).He married Elizabeth Jane Davis.They had the following children.George,William Frances,Cassandar Jane,James Henry,Otho R,Ira,Ive,Ivy,Mary Malissa,John ,Lorenzo Dowl Kines Jr,Richard D,Ellen "Ella",and Bullard "Bullie" Kines.His siblings that we know of are Jonathan,William J,Simeon,George,Aldridge "Oldridge",Elizabeth,Joseph "Joe",and Margrate E Kines.There are varation of the spelling.Kines,Kimes,Kynes,Kann for these people.Lorenzo also had a newfew named after him.Making 3 Lorenzo Kines.Lorenzo has grave lots here at the Bass Cementery that are recorded.But they say they dont know if there actual in the grave.Because some Family members have them buried in Jessamine co,Kentucky at the Beaumont Farm off Union Mill , of Nicholasville, Ky (As of 03/20/2011 there now is a marker on the grave, is there a body in the grave unknown) .Its possible that they could have went back to Kentucky.I do know trying to fine records on the Kines or Kynes is hard since the Jessamine co, courthouse burned in Oct 1863, but some of the county clerk's records were saved I know that Jessamine County, Kentucky was formed out of Fayette County. It was created on 19 Dec 1798. Originally a part of Virginia, in 1792 Kentucky became the 15th state to join the Union..
So you might fine documentation in either County for are people or State.Also There use be a house that set in the Maple Grove Cementery,Nicholasville,Kentucky that had burial records in it.That house caught fire and Some records were destroy by fire and some records were not kept very good.They fine unmarked graves all the time.But they dont know who is buried there do to one person buying 10 lots and could be 10 people buried there, but they didnot record there names back then.So located them is in possible because there are not stones or no records.I know by the death Certfic or older people were to located them.Believe me I have walk a lot of grave yards in Kentucky looking for these people.
New update.As of 03/20/2014,I found out from Ernstine Stinette Ham they use to live on Union Mill in a log house.And that There were tombstones put up For Lorenzo Kines Sr,Elizabeth Jane Davis Kines,Ellen Kines Beaumont,James Beaumont ,Georgia Beaumont.And a new stone for William Davis.I see the stones.
