Cecilia Shields Borden, known as Sibbie, ws born in Norfolk, Virginia in 1884. She was married to Henry Borden from 1905 until his death in 1908. Sibbie is the mother of actress Olive Borden. They moved to California in 1922 and opened a candy shop. During the 1940s Sibbie worked and lived at The Sunshine Mission For Women. She died in 1959 at at the age of seventy-five.
