Edmund B. Kimmell

Edmund B. Kimmell, 80 years old, a retired coal mine superintendent, died yesterday morning in his home at 239 South Walnut street, Blairsville, where he had resided many years. He was born in Derry township, Westmoreland county, May 28, 1852, a son of Jacob Kimmell and Barbara (Pershing) Kimmell, and had been a resident of Blairsville since childhood. He had been associated with a coal mining company in Westmoreland county many years but had been retired for the past 14 years.

He is survived by a son, John Kimmell, of Hollidaysburg; and two daughters: Mrs. J.W. Lynde, of New York City, and Mrs. C.W. Bower, of Bayside, N.Y. Funeral services will be held in his late home at 8 p.m. today in charge of the Rev. J.C. Stuart, minister of the First Presbyterian Church of Blairsville, assisted by the Rev. W. Jewart Miller, minister of the First Methodist Episcopal Church, Blairsville, with private interment in the Blairsville Cemetery tomorrow morning.
