Mrs. Betty Jane Franklin Parks, age 73 of White Pine, passedaway Wednesday morning, April 15, 2009 at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital, and amember of White Pine Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and VestinaFranklin; son, Arville Norton; brothers, Lester Franklin and Dewey Fraklin; aninfant sister; and a special person, Mack Benson.
Mrs. Parks is survived by her daughter, Delores Holt ofWhite Pine; sons and daughters-in-law, Alfred and Paula Norton and Marvin Leeand Tish Norton; son, Michael Lynn Parks; eight grandchildren and twelvegreat-grandchildren; sisters, Lucille Southerland of Jonesboro, TN, ElizabethMetcalf of Parrottsville, TN, Barbara Crum and Linda Norton, both of Newport,TN; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Bob Melton of Afton, TN; brothersand sisters-in-law, Oscar and Lucille Franklin of Richmond, VA, Clyde andVirginia Franklin, and Johnny and Cindy Franklin all of Parrottsville, TN;sisters-in-law, Shirley Franklin of Mechanicsville, VA and Alice Franklin ofParrottsville, TN; additional survivors include several nieces, nephews,cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, April 18,2009 at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Franklin and Rev.Kenneth Norton. Interment will be in White's Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday eveningat Costner-Maloy Funeral Home.
