Anna Lucille Reese, 90, of Kerens, Texas, died March 19, 1998, at her residence. Services will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, March 21, at Kerens Presbyterian Church with Tom Prentiss officiating, under the direction of Paschal Funeral Home. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Kerens Cemetery.

Anna Lucille was born in Kerens, Texas, to the late John A. and Lucy Ann Berry Anderson. She was a graduate of Kerens High School, attended Trinity University in Waxahachie and received her degree in Library Science from the University of North Texas in Denton. She married Charles E. Reese on August 25, 1928. Anna worked with the County Superintendent's office in Navarro County and completed her public school career as librarian for the Kerens I.S.D. She was a lifetime member of the Kerens Presbyterian Church where she served as church school teacher, youth sponsor, deacon and elder.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1961; and a daughter, Jacqueline Reese Curry in 1997.

She is survived by a son, Charles A. "Dink" Reese and wife, Hope, of San Antonio; son, John Richard Reese, of Waco; grandchildren, Jack Marshall, Charles M. Reese, James A. Reese, John E. Reese, Katilou Curry, and Clyff Curry; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
