Wiley W. Martin, age 45, died yesterday afternoon at his home of rheumatism of the heart. Mr. Martin had been a resident of Roanoke for 3 years, having moved here from Bristol. He was engaged as a locomotive engineer on the Norfolk and Western yard, and was a member of Division 301 Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Cora Martin, and 3 children; 2 daughters, Minnie and Louise, and 1 son Howard. His parents reside near Omaha, NE. A brother, Emmet Martin of Bristol was with him at the time of his death.
His funeral will be held at the resident this afternoon at 4 o'clock conducted by the Rev. D.A.Beery, pastor of the Melrose Methodist Church. Interment will be in Fairview, the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers being in charge of burial ceremonies.
The deceased, known to his friends in Grayson as Wint Martin, has often visited in this county, having married Miss Cora Sutherland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Sutherland of Elk Creek, who is an aunt by marriage to the editor of this paper.
