Mrs. Mary (Harple) Borland, 72, died in her residence at Rd 4, Carrollton, shortly before noon Saturday. She suffered a cerebral hemorrhage Friday night after an illness of more than two years. A native of Harrison Township, she lived in this vicinity all her life and was a member of Carrollton Presbyterian Church. She was a widow of Frank C. Borland.
She leaves one son, Lloyd F. Borland of the residence; three sisters, Mrs. M. D. Borland of Minerva, Mrs. Jacob Long of RD 3, and Mrs. Luella Gotschall of RD 3, and 12 grandchildren. Another daughter, Mrs. Clara Best of Carrollton, died September 6. Services were held Monday in the Allmon Funeral Home. Rev. W. H. Rockenstein officiated, assisted by Rev. B. J. Yorke. Burial was in Westview Cemetery.
