Finley Edgar Gibbs was the youngest child of Miles Tenpin and Nancy Ann Harbert Gibbs. He was a farmer and farmed the river bottom between Savannah and Crump. He liked dogs (especially his dog Shorty) and chewing tobacco.

He was married to Beulah Plunk on July 28, 1912. They had 5 children: infant, John Elmer, W.M., Charlyne (Powell), infant. Beulah died July 20, 1924.

Tony then married Harue Moffett Gibbs on May 8, 1926. They had 11 children: Margaret (Scott), Louise (Watson), Hoover, Joe, Ray, Fay, Bobby, Kenny, Billy, Donny, Martha.

His family moved to the Crump area around 1940 to a house they called "the brown house". Tony and Harue bought a home and farm around 1950 behind the main stores in Crump called "The Big House".

Tony died from a heart attack.
