Lizzie was the daughter of John Jesse Hulsey and Sarah Sinyard. She was born in Paulding Georgia one of six known children of the family.
Lizzie never married and lived with the father until his death along with her sister Dicey. They were all wards of the state living with families who took in the poor.
Lizzie is buried in the same cemetery as her sister Dicey although her grave appears to be unmarked.
