After Zilpha's mother Martha passed away on December 17 1783, she's interred in the Corbin Cemetery in Dudley, Massachusetts, her father Jonathan married her future husband's widowed mother, Sara (Corbin) Kidder in Dudley, Massachusetts on February 3 1785. Jonathan and Sara are also interred in the Corbin Cemetery.
About two and a half years after their widowed parents married Zilpha and Samuel Kidder Jr wed in Dudley, Worcester County, MA September 27 1787. Samuel Kidder Jr was born September 3 1763 and died January 13 1805 in Wardsboro, Windham County, VT, where he is buried.
