JOHN W. PETERS, a highly esteemed resident of Lauramie township, did Thrusday morning of last week at his home west of Gladdens Corner. His death was due to pneumonia, following a weeks illness. He was born near Conroe April 24, 1853, the son of Elihu and Catherine Peters and his entire life was spent in Laruamie Township. On march 1, 1883 he was maried to Eliza Gladden, who died four years ago. Five chldren were born to them, three dying in infancy. The surviving children are Mrs. James Parker, of Gladdens Corner, and Mrs. Floyd Maguire of Frankfort. Two brothers, Allen Peters of Hackett, Okla, and Ferris Peters of Lafayette, also surive, with one sister Mrs. John Bryant of Dayton. Mr. Peters was a member of the Methodist church. The funeral was conducted from the family home Sunday morning at 10 0'clock, with burial in the Concord Cemetery.
