"Joseph A Troyer, 69, of Spartansburg, died Saturday afternoon at his home following an extended illness. He was born March 20, 1903, in Shickley, Neb, the son of Abraham and Amanda Kuhns Troyer. Mr Troyer moved to Pennsylvania in 1937, where he operated a farm and also drove a school bus. On June 24, 1924, he married Clara Augustine. He was a member of the Valley View Mennonite Church. He is survived by his wife; three daughters...two sons...22 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs Ammon (Katie) Birky of Albany, Oregon, Mrs Menno (Lena) Eichelberger of Shickley, Neb, and Mrs Henry (Fern) Lauber of Shickley, Neb; two brothers, Raymond Troyer of Nampa, Idaho, and Roy Troyer of Spartansburg, RD 2. One son, Lyle, two grandchildren, three brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Friends may call at the H Richard Hays Funeral Home, Spartansburg...and attend the funeral service Tuesday at 2 pm in the Valley View Mennonite Church with Rev Arland Miller, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Spartansburg..."
