Doctor Buried at Johnsville
Graveside funeral services were held in the Johnsville cemetery yesterday for Dr. H.A. Collings, Susanville physician, who died at St. Helena Sunday. The services were under the direction of Hope lodge, F. & A. M. of Beckwith. Funeral rites had previously been held at the N. Gray chapel in San Francisco, with Parnassus lodge of Masons officiating. The Johnsville services were attended by Mrs. J.S. Wren, Mrs. M.A. Griffin and John Spalding of Susanville.

Death Claims H.A. Collings at Sanitarium
Dr. Harry A. Collings, local physician, died yesterday morning at 8 o'clock in St. Helena sanitarium. He was admitted to the institution a week before his death, and about noon Saturday he went into a coma from which he failed to rally. His wife was called to St. Helena Saturday night, driving down with John Spalding and Mrs. J.S. Wren. She was with her husband at the time of his death. Mr. Spalding and Mrs. Wren returned to Susanville last night. Dr. Collings, who was 54 years of age was a native of Texas. he practiced in Susanville for approximately nine years. Besides his widow, Ellen Collings, he is survived by a sister in Los Angeles and a brother in San Francisco. Dr. Collings was active in Masonic affairs, being a member of the Order of the Mystic Shrine, the Knights Templar, the Royal Arch Masons and the Blue Lodge. Funeral services for Dr. Collings will be held at Portola Thursday at two o'clock at the Reese mortuary, with burial at Johnsville.
