The funeral for Eileen Mae Stampfly, 82, of Woodward, will be 2 p.m. today, Nov. 19, 2008, at Woodward Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Malcolm Blakley will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Woodward. Arrangements are by Billings Funeral Home, Woodward.
She was born May 30, 1926, in Elk City to Herman Carl and Mabel E. Anderson Fuqua and died Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, in Woodward. She was raised and educated in Woodward. She married George Stephens in the early 1940s in Woodward. In 1957, she moved to Mile City, Mont., and later to Ellensburg, Wash.
She married Fritz Stampfly in 1957 [1959 ID]. She worked at Twin City Foods Cannery Co., retiring in 1986. She moved to Amarillo, Texas, in 1994, and moved to Woodward in 2002, where she helped her son with the taxi service. She attended Woodward Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are one sister, Wilma Jean Cook of Fargo; one brother, Carl Fuqua of Woodward; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fritz, one son and a sister.
