1863; wounded at Trevelian, January 12, 1864; died, July 4,
1864, at Danville , Va .
refer to page 562, Reference #976, Roll of Honor: list Strekle, J. M., NY dragoons, Company F, died July 4, 1864, buried at Lynchburg.
AG's report of death at Danville believed to be in error as ROH gives Lynchburg where a prison was at the time of capture.
