John Hadley married Priscilla Guthrie on November 28, 1800 in Green County, Kentucky. They were the parents of 3 sons and 3 daughters. He came to Collinsville township from Kentucky in 1817, settled at Pleasant Ridge (north of Collinsville), and lived there until his death.
He is found in the 1850 U.S. Census dated October 22, 1850 living with his son Dempsey.

James Hadley, a Private out of Maryland who fought 1777-1778 and died in Kentucky around 1806
