Kenneth Voss, 6 Succumbs Friday

Son of Well Known County Couple Dies Following Short Illness

Kenneth Merten Voss, 6, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Voss of north of Blair, died last Friday following a month's illness. He was born October 26, 1930 and was baptized in the Lutheran faith December 26, 1930. He was a member of the primary class in the Lutheran Sunday school at the time of his death.

A second grade pupil in the Cuming City school where Miss Hazel Cannon is teacher, Kenneth was a favorite among his classmates who will greatly miss his presence. He was a member of the Royal Neighbor Juveniles.

After undergoing a major operation January 13 at Immanuel hospital in Omaha where he remained for ten days, the lad was brought to his home January 24. Suffering from an incurable malady, Kenneth was given every care by his family and cousin, Mrs. Lyle Gilbertson.

Surviving him are his bereaved parents, a sister, Henrietta, and a brother, John Russell.

Funeral services were conducted from the First Lutheran church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. James N. Lund, officiating. Burial was in the Blair cemetery. Four cousins, Merton Jensen, Merton Kuhr, Gerald Jensen, all of Blair and Kenneth Gilbertson of Omaha were pallbearers.
