Arma, March 3, 1926 __ John Wykle, 75 years of age, resident of this district 39 years and veteran coal miner, died last night at 9:20 o'clock at his home in Arma following an illness of more then five years from "miner's asthma". a disease caused by his occupation, and influenza. Mr. Wykle became seriously ill last Friday and his weakened condition, together with heart trouble from which he was suffering hastened his death. The veteran coal miner came to Kansas from Jackson County, Ohio where he was born Nov 11, 1850. The early part of his life was spent in Ohio, aand at the age of 25 years, he married Miss Martha Rambo, who survives. The ceremony took place Dec. 24, 1875. Ten years later, the couple came to Kansas, settling in the western part of the state, where Mr. Wykle became engaged in farming, in 1887, the family came to the district, settling at Rich Hill. They have lived here since that time. Mr. Wykle was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. Besides his widow, Mr. Wykle is survived by the following relatives: four daughters Mrs. Mollie Runyan of Arma, Mrs. Myrtle Hartman of Englevalem Mrs. Nellie Stoker of Arma and Mrs. Annie Kennedy of Girard; three sons, William Wykle, who lives at the home, Plenney Wykle who also lives in Arma, and Dallas Wykle of Bicknell, Ind; three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Conrad of Colton, O., Mrs. Frank Thompson of Jackson Co. Ohio Mrs. Nellie Bateman Columbus, O., Mrs. Martha Thompson of Artesia, Calif., and James Wykle of near Colton. Funeral arrrangements have not been completed, but the funeral will be in the Mulberry cemetery,
