SWAIN, Norman Charles entered into rest peacefully at Centennial Place, Millbrook, on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the age of 81. Norm Swain, formerly of Lindsay, was the beloved husband of 57 years to the late Jean (McElwain) Swain. Dear father of Pat Surman of Peterborough and Bob and his wife Chris Swain of Port Elgin. Cherished grandfather of Ryan, Rachel, Miranda and Brittany. He is survived by his sisters Dorothy (Mrs. Ed Hand) and Doreen (Mrs. Jim Wallace), both of Niagara Falls. Following the wishes of Norm, a private family service will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay, later in the spring. If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society may be made through Mackey Funeral home, 33 Peel Street Lindsay or online at www.mackeys.ca. The family would like to thank the staff of Centennial Place for their loving care and compassion.
