MRS. EILERT PRULL, SR.
MONTICELLO --Funeral services for Mrs. Eilert H. Prull, Sr., 74, were held today (Thursday) at the St. Matthew Lutheran church at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Anton Kirkegaard officiated and interment was in Wayne Zion cemetery.
Mrs. Prull died at Mercy hospital, Cedar Rapids, Monday afternoon, May 6, following an illness of several weeks. Mamie Elizabeth Prull was born near Langworthy Oct. 17, 1893, the daughter of Henry and Maggie Siebels Monk. She received her education in the Jones county rural schools.
On Feb. 3, 1915, she married Eilert H. Prull and the couple farmed near Langworthy until moving to Monticello In 1943. He preceded her in death in 1964. She was also preceded in death by a son, her parents, a sister and a brother.
Survivors include four children: Henrietta, Mrs. Joseph (Helen) Simmons and Clarence, all of Monticello, Mrs. Frank (Berdena) Peterman of Marion; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Also five sisters, Mrs. Sena Rickels, Mrs. August Siebels, Monticello, Mrs. Edith Blohni, Martelle, Mrs. Anna Brockhohn and Mrs. Clifford (Wilhelmlna) Soper of Anamosa; and five brothers, Henry and George of Hanford, Calif., August, John and Conrad, all of Monticello.
Casketbearers were Emil Prull, Eilert Prull, Harry Dierks, Leonard Monck, Donald Monk and Lawrence Brockhohn
