A.B. "Cap" Haga, 85, of 1489 J.S. Holland Road, Ridgeway, died Nov. 11, 2004, at R.J. Reynolds Patrick Memorial Hospital in Stuart.
He was born in Grayson County on Oct. 5, 1919, to John G. Haga and Ila Miller Haga. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Bralley Haga.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and retired from the Virginia Department of Corrections with 33 years of service. He was of the Christian faith.
Surviving are two daughters, Betty H. Drake of Los Angeles, Calif. and Shirley Holland of Ridgeway; a son, Jerry D. Haga of Ridgeway; and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Norris Funeral Services chapel with Minister Dave Cuthbertson officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Rural Retreat.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
