Clergy. He was Provincial General of the Western Province of the Salesian Order in the United States 1926-1931. He arrived in San Francisco in 1912 and after a time at Corpus Christi parish, he was assigned to SS Peter and Paul's where he was rector from 1914-1934 when he retired due to poor health. He helped to organize the Boy's Club at the parish in 1919 to fight juvenile delinquency in the Italian North Beach area. The club is responsible for the development of many fine athletes and citizens, most notably Joe DiMaggio and Hank Luisetti. He collapsed and died sitting at the banquet table with San Francisco Mayor Angelo Rossi and other dignitaries at the Mayor's Inaugural Dinner at the Palace Hotel.
