Funeral services for Gaylord Olson, 71, of Sebeka wete held July 16 at 2 p.m. from the Bethlehem Lutheran church, McKinley Township with Rev. Victor Swain officiating. Interment was in the Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery at McKinley Twsp., Cass County, with Howard Folkestad Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
He passed away at Wesley Hospital July 13, 1970.
Mr. Olson was born to parents Swan and Katherine Olson Sept. 28, 1898 at Bertha and attended schools at Fargo, N.D., and Ansel Township.
He was married November 6, 1937 to Evelyn L. Crackel at the home of Rev. Turnbull and they resided in the Nimrod area. He served on the town board when living in Ansel Township.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; one daughter, Mrs. Henry (Joyce) Wiederich, of Lester Prairie; and two grandchildren.
Relatives attending from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Meech, Hibbing; Mrs. Ethel Blaseg, Ida Belle Crackel, Gerald Blaseg, Dan Lawler, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Crackel and their daughter, all of Ree Heights, S.D.
