SHAMROCK — Marvin Ferril, 80, of Shamrock died Sunday, June 16, 2013.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in First Assembly of God in Shamrock with the Rev. Z.A. Myers, the Rev. Doris McCutchen and the Rev. Bob McCutchen officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock.
Mr. Ferril was born July 25, 1932, in Holliday to (Added: William David Lee), "Bill" and Myrtle Coe Ferril. He was a deacon at Foursquare Church in Arlington for seven years and at First Assembly of God in Shamrock for 10 years. (Added: Marvin had the God given gift of a Server, and each church he served in, he kept the church lawns beautiful. Sometimes the people of the church did not even know who was doing the lawns, as he always came and did his lawn ministry and left without drawing any attention to himself.)
(Added: Marvin was preceeded in death by his first wife, Wanda Geraldine Bradley Ferril in 2004, his grandparent, Charles Henry and Mattie Walters Coe.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ferril of Shamrock; two sons, Jerry Ferril of Shamrock and Barry Clancy of Memphis; two daughters, Cathy Hawley of Oklahoma and Karen Reyna of Katy; a brother, Lonnie Ferril of Amarillo; two grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; a great-grandchild; 20 step-great-grandchildren;
and six step-great-great-grandchildren.
