Etta Julius was born in Manson, Iowa, and at an early age, moved with her parents to Fort Dodge. After she graduated from high school, she was employed in her father's theater, the Strand, as the organist.
In 1922, she married Forrest Grant, and the couple had since made their home in Rolfe.
She was a member of P.E.O. Sisterhood in Rolfe; was active in volunteer work at Sunset Manor Nursing Home, and was also a member of the Sorosis Club.
Surviving are the widower, Forrest; daughter, Mrs. Clyde Smith, Waterloo; and sister, Mrs. Mamie Ellinger, Manson.
Services for Mrs. Grant, 71, will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Presbyterian Church, Rolfe, with burial in the Clinton-Garfield Cemetery.
