Edna Grant Bost, age 71, wife of Col. (Ret.) William L. Bost, died in her sleep during the early morning hours on Sunday, April 16, 1989. She had been ill for the past three years. A WWII veteran, the New Jersey-born surgical nurse 1st LT met her husband-to-be while she was serving in a hospital supporting combat operations in Germany (5th Auxiliary Surgical Group) in early 1945. A strong Christian, loving wife and devoted mother, she was equally proud of her American birth and her Scottish bloodlines. Graveside service with full military honors, the Rev. Jim Whitt officiating.
