By 1920, Alice has become the wife of Arthur Bross, who was born in Nebraska and was 14 years her junior. The couple was living in Blair, Nebraska with no other family members residing with them.

In that same year, her ex-husband, Frank Bosteder, is listed as widowed and living with the couples 14 year old son, Glen, in Franklin, Decatur, Iowa.

There is, however, a Frank Bosteder who married Nora E Thompson in Clarke County, Iowa on 30 June 1920. Nora was the daughter of Allen G Senn and Mary Walker, and although I cannot prove this was her ex-husband, Frank, his mother's name of Elizabeth Nogen does match the 1910 Wayne, Nebraska listing.

Should this be the Frank who was married to Alice, and it could be him, his father is identified as C C Bosteder. ~ "Iowa, County Marriages, 1838-1934"

Glen Bosteder and Edra Harling were married on 31 January 1926 in Indianola, Warren, Iowa. Edra, who was born in Knurim, Iowa ca 1906, was the daughter of W.D. Harting and Ethel Dent.

This marriage somewhat clarifies the rather confusing details for Frank and Alice during the 1910 census year as Glen is confirmed to be the son of Frank Bosteder and Alice Arnold, with a confirmed birth place of Blair, Nebraska.

The year 1930 finds Arthur and Alice still living together in Blair, but they have been joined by Alice's now 24 year old married son, Glen, whose wife is not present in the home.

Glen's father, Frank, is now living in Des Moines, Polk, Iowa with two women, Emma J. (59/IA) and Alice M Wimmer (38/NE), who are listed as his sisters. Ralph Wimmer, age 36 (IA) is listed as a roomer, and all four of these persons are listed as being widowed.

SON, confirms that Frank, 1910 census, was her husband:

On 31 Jan 1926, Glen Bosteder, son of Alice Arnold, and Edra Harling, daughter of W.D. Harting (father) are married in Indianola, Warren, Iowa. Glen's birth place is Blair, Ne, and Edra was born in Knurim, Iowa ca 1906. ~ "Iowa, Marriages, 1809-1992"

This serves to clarify some of the ambiguity present in the two 1910 census listings concerning the relationship between Frank Bosteder and Alice, and further confirms that they were, in fact, married.
