MARIE A. HANSEN DIED APRIL 13th

Mrs. Marie A. Hansen passed away Wednesday, April 13th at the Good Shepherd Home where she had resided since March 22nd after being in the Blair Community Hospital since December.

Marie Polstrup was born in Argo, Nebraska on July 15, 1884. On February 18, 1910 she was married to Louis E. Hansen. They homesteaded in Danesville, North Dakota and moved to Nebraska in 1917. After farming in Nuckolls and Washington County for a number of years they settled permanently in Washington County in 1927.

Mr. Hansen died in December of 1945 and Mrs. Hansen moved to Blair to make her home. She was an active member in the First Lutheran Church for many years.

She is survived by four children: Mrs. Dennis Altekruse (Mildred) of Blair, Roy C. Hansen of Herman, Milton T. Hansen of Blair and Edward O. Hansen of Sacramento, California. A son, Lyle, was killed in World War II. Eleven grandchildren also survive and two sisters, Mrs. Carlos Morehouse of Paynesville, Minnesota and Mrs. Chris Anderson of Eugene, Oregon.

Funeral services will be held at the First Lutheran Church Saturday, April 16th at 2 P.M. with the Rev. George Pallesen officiating. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary.

SERVICES FOR MRS. HANSEN WERE HELD

Memorial services were held at First Lutheran Church on April 16 (Saturday) for Marie A. Hansen with Rev. Pallesen conducting the service. Interment was in the Blair Cemetery. Pallbearers were Rev. Harold Jorgensen, Al Rembold, Dr. Edwin Jipp, Leonard Lau, Martin P. Hansen, and Roy Duffey.
