Wilmer I. Smith Sr., age 69, of Marianna, Pa., died unexpectedly Saturday, May 7, 2005, in his home.
He was born on May 2, 1936, in Daisytown, Pa., son of the Rev. Leroy Smith and Mary Yorty Smith.
Mr. Smith had been a school bus driver since 1957 and had been employed the last 30 years with Pryor Bus Lines of Marianna.
He enjoyed restoring and collecting antique automobiles.
He was predeceased by his parents, stepmother, Margaret Malik Smith, and two sisters, Nancy Lee Heise and Ada Silbaugh.
He is survived by his former wife, Ida Prettyman Smith of Richeyville, Pa.; three sons: Wilmer Smith Jr. of Vestaburg, Pa., John Smith of West Finley, Pa., and Jim Smith of Richeyville, Pa.; one daughter, Judy Smith Boone of Avon, Indiana; three sisters: Phyllis Smith McAvoy of Ellsworth, Pa., Bonnie Smith Mattie of Daisytown, Pa., and Linda Smith a guest at Integrated Health System Greenery Rehabilitation of Canonsburg, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the JOHN B. GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 2830 Main Street (Route 40), Beallsville, Pa., on Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. where Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 11, at 11 a.m.
Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
