Callie was the fourth child of William Joe Perrin and Bettie Gill Perrin. Her mother died when she was 8 years old. Callie was swept off her feet by Everett George Wilcox when he came to her church to preach a revival. They were married in Mount Vernon, Texas on January 1, 1916. After they both graduated from college, she and her husband went to Brazil as Baptist missionaries. They remained there for 20 years until her husband's death in 1940. Rev. Wilcox is buried at the English Cemetery in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. They had 4 daughters. One daughter, Dorothy Myers, is buried next to her mother.
