ALLEN H. McCORMICK DIES AT HIS HOME IN AUBURN
Pleuro-pneumonia claimed the life of Allen H. McCormick Wednesday afternoon at his home on North Cedar street in Auburn. Mr. McCormick was an automobile body finisher by occupation.
He was born near Leo in DeKalb county and had he lived until the last day of January he would have been seventy-three years of age. For the past ten years he had resided in Auburn, coming from Kendallville.
In June, 1878, Mr. McCormick was united in marriage with Ella Cook of Leo. There were born to them seven children, of whom four survive, Frank R. McCormick of Auburn, James R. McCormick of Flint, Mich., Mrs. William Summers of Kendallville, and Mrs. W. W. Smith of Sturgis, Mich.
There also are living two half sisters Mrs. Sarah Soule of Leo and Mrs. Clarence Thomas of Orland, four grandchildren and one great grandchildren.
Mr. McCormick was a member of the Methodist Protestant church.
