THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, 29 Nov 1976: "Mrs. Emma Campbell, widow of George T. Campbell, of 501-8th SE and formerly of Forest Chapel, died at 1:45 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Forest Chapel Methodist Church. The Rev. D. Presley Hutchens will officiate with burial in Forest Chapel Cemetery by Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home of Paris. The body will lie at the church 1-2 p.m. Tuesday. The family will be at the residence of Daymon Campbell in Forest Chapel. Mrs. Campbell was born Aug. 26, 1887, in the Razor community of Lamar County. She was the former Mattie Emily McAnally, daughter of the late William H. McAnally and Jaley Floyd. She attended public schools at Forest Chapel and married George Taylor Campbell on Aug. 21, 1910. He died Jan. 2, 1966. She moved to Paris in 1967 and had lived here since. She was a member of the Chicota Baptist Church and had been in ill health for the past few years. Survivors include two sons, J. Daymon Campbell of Forest Chapel and Bernice M. Campbell of Crane; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one sister, Mrs. Mary McNelly of Richland Center, Wis.; and three brothers, Charlie McAnally of Longview, Marion McAnally of Saginaw and Mart McAnally of Long Beach, Calif. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. Imogene Parsons."
