MRS. MARY T. AGEY nee CLARK was a daughter of Joseph and Ann Clark nee Todd, daughter of William Todd, who located in Westmoreland county in 1780, and died in 1810, at the age of sixty-eight. He served in the state legislature, in 1783, and for several successive years. He was also a member of the state senate for one term. He was an associate judge for several years. In 1787, he was a delegate to the convention which ratified the Federal constitution and in 1789, to the convention which framed the first constitution of Pennsylvania. The Agey coal banks in this township, exhibit a six foot vein of good coal. They are situated about half a mile above "Upper Two Lick." They are self draining. These strata underlie all the land in this vicinity.
